So, I thought that by using a more specific model, maybe the simulation would behave. But somehow, with no AC in my system at all, and a 30V supply, this manages, under some higher load conditions to claim that the op amp output is in the Megavolt range. I used "universal op amp" from the existing models (and a couple of variations thereof). My other problem is that I was trying to model a very simple op-amp current booster circuit. I googled, and found some information on the Analog Devices site, and more on the IEEE site, but they seemed to talk about different types of file (model, and subckt), so I'm not sure if I have the wrong thing. It seems like "asc" is the extension used by my projects, so I copied it alongside them and tried to open it, and what I got wasn't anything I could make sense of. However, I've entirely failed to get this to play in my installation. First, I would like to have a model of a good ole 741. I have two specific problems I was trying to resolve. All of that is an attempt to say, really, I did try to help myself first. After that I just did raw google searches, and got very confused by what I found. Then I went looking for an FAQ and found an entry on this forum that seems to amount to "there's no point, as the people that need an FAQ never bother to look at it anyway". I went looking for the help files, and discover that if I hit F1, I get a window that offers a tree of topics, but with zero actual documentation. Hi all, I'm suffering from what must be stupidity, as I can't get to first base with my current problems.
